Senior Technical Engineer

Your responsibilities will include

 

  • Use designated IT systems, updating and maintaining IDNO ITC with up to date and relevant information, ensuring the quality of information is uploaded in the right way and at the right time.
  • First line query & complaint resolution and preparation of all information if escalation to management is required.
  • Maintaining various records and spreadsheets and action required items with in the required process.
  • Issue reports from various records and IT systems and issue accordingly.
  • Maintain asset records for live/adopted sites.
  • Order materials and raise purchase orders and issue to suppliers using SAGE.
  • Issue out quotes and complete orders when required and within the correct timescales.
  • Assist the Network Manager in managing the electricity network operations.
  • Validate information received from third parties and update to the relevant system.
  • Validate operations requests and ensure that relevant processes and procedures have been applied.
  • Assist in managing faults. 
  • Ensure that faults are rectified in required timescales and escalated appropriately when required. 
  • Understand the regulations, process and procedures relating to electricity distribution 
  • Attend EAN sites to Inspect Installation of Assets and compliance with Appropriate Regulations listing any non-conformance passing on this information to ICPs to rectify Non conformance
  • Audit ICP`s work including Van inspections, Jointing Audits and Testing Procedures, producing reports from inspections
  • G99 Witness testing to include Issuing Quotes for works

 

Who we're looking for

  • Electrical Technical Understanding. C&G 236/2339 or equivalent required
  • Site Safety Card
  • SAP Preferred but LV AP Minimum
  • Evidence of Operational experience on Electricity Networks
  • Good working knowledge and proficiency in the use of IT systems
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Ability to make decisions and be accountable for those decisions
  • You possess initiative and excellent problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated but can equally function as part of a team able to work under minimum Supervision, but able to escalate problems when required
  • Excellent time management skills, working to deadlines and possessing the ability to prioritise tasks and objectives.
  • High level of attention to detail
