Are you a talented finance professional with a passion for driving business performance? At Energy Assets, we are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Finance Business Partner to join our team in the Metering & Data and Net Zero areas of our Group.


As a Finance Business Partner, you will be at the heart of our decision-making process, partnering with senior managers and supporting key business units to deliver on both long-term strategic goals and day-to-day financial targets. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a leading company within the energy and infrastructure sectors.


Energy Assets Metering and Data is a division of Energy Assets that focuses on providing metering services, data collection, and analytics for businesses in the energy sector. Primary functions include:


  1. 1 - Metering Services
  2. 2 - Data Collection & Management
  3. 3 - Data Analytics & Reporting


We support businesses in managing their energy consumption more efficiently and meeting regulatory requirements.


Our Net Zero division is focussed on helping businesses transition to a low-carbon, sustainable future by reducing their carbon footprint. Services include:


  1. 1 - Energy Efficiency Solutions
  2. 2 - Renewable Energy Integration
  3. 3 - Energy Monitoring & Reporting


What You’ll Do

  • Be a strategic partner - Collaborate with senior managers and their teams, offering insights and advice that support business objectives and drive financial performance.
  • Lead financial planning - Support long-term business planning, annual budgeting, and rolling forecasting processes, ensuring all financial activities align with Group strategy.
  • Influence decision-making - Produce monthly management accounts and provide high-quality financial information that supports leaders in making informed business decisions.
  • Enhance performance - Develop an effective performance management system, setting and monitoring financial targets to ensure the business achieves its goals.
  • Innovate - Implement early warning systems to detect financial deviations and maintain a healthy financial balance between inflows and outflows of funds.
  • Play a key role in audit processes - Support both external and internal audits, providing necessary financial insights and responses.

What We’re Looking For


Essential

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of planning and management reporting systems.

Preferred

  • Experience in the utilities and infrastructure sectors, particularly exposure to energy metering and data services
  • Exposure to multi-company business environments within the UK.

  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to build trust and strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends in financial planning and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Essential: A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from a recognised institution.
  • Preferred: Professional qualification such as CFA, CMA, CA, or ACCA.
