What You’ll Be Doing
In this high-impact role you’ll work under our Head of Power Technical Operations, supporting our electrical operations. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory, industry, and internal policies and standards
- Weekly review of electrical programmes to ensure proper authorisations, safe execution, and full compliance
- Acting as NERS Assessing Officer up to 11kV
- Leading competency assurance and development across operational teams
- Supporting electrical testing, commissioning, and complex substation connections
- Overseeing the procurement and evaluation of materials to meet technical and commercial standards
- Delivering training, briefings, and driving a strong safety culture on and off site
- Supporting project managers, business development, and operational colleagues with technical guidance
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working with LV and 11kV DNO/IDNO adopted networks.
- Experience in HV pressure testing and substation commissioning (up to 11kV)
- Eligibility and experience to act as Assessing Officer under the NERS scheme
- Valid CSCS SHEA Power Passport
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
