About the Role
Energy Assets is seeking an experienced Adoption Manager to lead the end-to-end adoption of electricity distribution networks into our Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) business.
Reporting to the Head of Electricity Networks, you will be responsible for ensuring that electricity networks adopted by Energy Assets meet all technical, safety and regulatory requirements. Leading a team of engineers and technical support colleagues, you will oversee robust adoption processes, maintain high standards of compliance and data quality, and work closely with connection providers to deliver safe, efficient and compliant network handovers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electricity networks professional to take ownership of a critical function within a growing and ambitious business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end adoption process for electricity distribution networks, ensuring contractual milestones are achieved.
- Review and approve technical documentation, including network designs, as-built drawings and completion packs.
- Ensure all adopted assets comply with industry standards, engineering requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Lead, develop and support a high-performing technical team.
- Build effective relationships with Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), developers and internal stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement across adoption processes, procedures and quality standards.
- Monitor operational performance against agreed KPIs and service levels.
- Ensure accurate asset information is captured to support the safe operation of adopted networks.
About You
You'll have a strong technical background within electricity distribution and a thorough understanding of network adoption processes.
You'll also bring:
- Significant experience working within an IDNO, DNO, ICP or similar electricity networks environment.
- Detailed knowledge of G81 standards, ESQCR, CDM Regulations and electricity network safety requirements.
- Experience reviewing technical designs, as-built drawings, test certification and completion documentation.
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to develop and motivate technical teams.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A commitment to quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
Desirable
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or working towards professional registration.
- Experience of Ofgem regulatory frameworks and licence obligations.
- Knowledge of asset valuation methodologies and commercial processes.
- Experience within regulated utility businesses.
- CAD or technical drawing validation experience.
